Name: Boulder
From: Rescue Bots
Appearance: Complete with a hub logo
Age: Young mentally, but old physically
Gender: Male
Personality: Boulder is an extremely calm individual. He rarely, if ever, gets upset over little or big things, preferring to take on the problem with a level-headed grace. He believes that things, like decisions, should be taken slowly so that more thought can be put into them. That’s not to say that he applies that to when he’s making rescues, since he’s well aware that snap decisions are often necessary when saving lives. Boulder has an appreciation for straight lines and crisp colours, and he pays a lot of attention to the aesthetics of something, whether it be the outside of a building or a garden.
Since arriving on Earth, Boulder has been fascinated by both Earth culture and organic life. He adores how things like plants grow everywhere, how resilient they are, and how determined they seem to be to live. Not only that, but plants and trees all had a unique beauty that couldn’t be found on Cybertron. One of Boulder’s favourite activities lately is helping out in the park by planting trees or flowers. The parts of Earth Culture that fascinate Boulder the most are things like art and how the organics care about each other. Some art flows in mesmerizing ways, and some art is thought provoking to the point where Boulder could stand and stare at a painting for hours, looking at it. He enjoys seeing humans care about each other, and care about their pets. For him, family units is a foreign, but utterly fascinating idea.
Compared to the others (besides Chase), Boulder gets along with his human partner very well. That might have something to do with their equally calm and unassuming personalities. At first there was a lack of communication between them, since Graham Burns believed that Boulder wouldn’t want Graham’s help, being a highly advanced robot and all. Once they got over that, they became a very efficient team, being mostly involved with repairing damaged buildings and other engineering issues.
Backstory: As a part of Rescue Force Sigma 17, Boulder spent most of his life in stasis, and wasn’t all too aware of the war that ravaged their planet. He knew it was happening, sure, but he was absent for the bulk of it and had no idea of the full atrocities that were committed during the war. Perhaps he was better off that way.
He and his team arrived on Earth, and there they learned from Optimus Prime of the fate of their planet. Even though their world was lost, they were given another purpose: To work alongside a family of humans and help protect the humans. The catch was that they had to act like mindless machines, and work peacefully alongside their sometimes hotheaded human partners. Things were rocky at first, since most of the Burns family had issues with their vehicles being alien robots.
After a while, they gradually learned to trust each other more. Griffin Rock had no shortage of disasters, both natural and... not. so the Rescue Bots always had something to do, and they are quickly finding out that there were still plenty of things that they need to learn about their new home.
Moral Standing: Neutral Good
Dreams: Boulder is perfectly happy with living as he is
Fears: Someone he cares about getting hurt.
